JOINING THE DGA
Membership is open to anyone over 18 and living within a 10 –12 mile radius of Dorking. New members join at non-exhibiting level. The membership fee is £30. Members who join after July 1st pay a reduced rate of £15.
From January 2027 there will be a £40 annual subscription for all members (exhibiting and non-exhibiting).
Membership runs from 1st Jan to 31st Dec each year, and entitles every member to participate in the summer and winter programme activities (subject to any number limit the committee may wish to impose).

Once we receive the application form, the membership secretary will contact you to tell you how to pay your membership fee. Membership details will used for DGA purposes only and will not be given out to any members other than the committee, or any other person or organisation without prior permission.

EXHIBITING MEMBERSHIP
When you have been a non-exhibiting member for one year, you have the option of applying for exhibiting membership. You will need to be a paid-up member at the time of the application. You will not get a refund of your membership subscription if you do not succeed in the current selection panel.
Members present their work to a selection committee which takes place twice a year, in January and June/July. If you are accepted as an exhibiting member you are required to pay an extra £5 for exhibiting membership, and you can submit paintings to the twice yearly exhibitions of members’ work.
As an exhibiting member you are expected to help at exhibitions, for example with setting up, taking down or stewarding.
Exhibiting membership annual subscription £35 (£40 from January 2027) renewed Jan 2nd each year.
The next selection panel is on July 2nd 2026.

Members’ Tip: If you are interested in applying for exhibiting membership, it is worth helping out with the set up one of the exhibitions to get a better understanding of what is involved. It also helps if you have been to see our exhibitions to see the standard of work on display!
