DGA NEWS

Here are the prize winners from our spring exhibition at Betchworth Village Hall. The prizes were awarded by artist Sarah Cox. Many thanks to Sarah and our prize sponsors, Pullingers, Epsom; Denbies Vineyard; Lizzie Watts Framing; and The Arts Society Betchworth.

At each exhibition, we ask visitors to vote for their favourite painting. Paul Simmons has won the 2026 spring exhibition visitors' vote for the second exhibition running! This lovely painting Rainy Day in Westminster deserves a prize!

We were delighted to award a new prize, sponsored by the Arts Society Betchworth for  an abstract painting. It was awarded to Tony Watson for Dorset’s Durdle Door.

Tania Busschau won the prize awarded by Lizze Watts Framing for Chasing Light.

Meg Bateman won the 1st prize awarded by Denbies Wine Estate for her painting Time lapse #2 – The lock.

Bev Graham won the 2nd prize awarded by Denbies Wine Estate for Dawn light, Porth Leven.

Sara Lucas won the prize awarded by Pullingers, Epsom for Bluebells.

Colin Twinn won the Natasha Claridge prize  for his painting The joy of rust.

Pat Booth won the Committee prize, dedicated this year to our former Chair, Jane Anderson-Wood for her painting Spring reflections.

We are grateful to the family of Jane Anderson Wood, who loaned some of Jane's lovely paintings for this tribute to our former Chair at the spring exhibition.
